As Featured in 'Outer Banks' on Netflix
In Season 1, Episode 8, our Chapel is where we see Lana giving her statement to Sheriff Peterkin.

Close to numerous filming locations for the hugely popular Netflix series Outer Banks, not only can you be married in a beautiful historic hand-made German chapel, but you can be part of the story. The chapel can also be rented for other events, including small intimate wedding receptions. We also offer our newer sanctuary as a possible wedding venue. 

Charleston weddings are special. We would be honored to host your big day in our current worship space or our original chapel, where a scene in the popular Netflix TV show Outer Banks was filmed. Either place you in the heart of Mount Pleasant's Old Village neighborhood, three blocks from historic downtown. You will love the live oaks, Spanish moss, and scent of fresh Jasmine on your day. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Can another pastor perform the ceremony without approval from St. Paul’s pastor? No.
  • Is the throwing of rice permitted? No, but birdseed may be used.
  • Are alcoholic drinks permitted at receptions? No.
  • Are wedding programs available? No. Most couples choose to make their own. If you use Pastor Aaron as your officiant, he'll work with you to tailor the perfect order of worship so you can design and print your programs yourself just the way you like them.
  • Does SPLC have a wedding director? SPLC has a Wedding/Event Coordinator with whom you will make all of your plans with the church secretary/wedding coordinator and the pastor. However, the pastor requests that you have a director for the processional during rehearsal and the wedding ceremony. While the pastor is in charge of the wedding rehearsal, your director is responsible for organizing the wedding party participants. The director may be a family member or a professional wedding planner. SPLC’s wedding coordinator will manage access to SPLC facilities and provide onsite assistance.
